Our first boy that won the hearts of us. He was listed as, "agressive" and "needed a strong hand". All he really needed was the right person to love him and his exuberance! And by that I mean, he had to learn not to jump up and pin you to the wall while he slobbered all over your face, and if you just happen to be wearing a skirt, well, he was up and under it in seconds flat with that goofy look, like "what? it's cool under here!". He was a crowd pleaser, always going to the neighbors for dinner - literally, we'd get a call that he was at their house having prime rib! Gus was our failed fostering attempt. He had the most incredibly soft fur you can ever imagine. Gus graced us when he was 8 with some issues from his previous family. He would just wake up happy every morning. When he saw you, he would just smile and wag his whole body as if to say "You're here, you're still here" and bounce up and down on his front paws. He was a "man's man" dog. He would spoon with my husband and always won over the men of the house on home visits. While at the kennel picking up dogs for a haul, someone brought him out to show him to me that he resembled my husband's dog who had just passed. I couldn't even look at him and blindly stroked his back while looking at the sky with tears in my eyes. Once home I told my husband about him and he called that night, he was on his way home within two weeks. He turned out to be the biggest moma's boy and my sole dog. He was the Ladies Man of home visits, every woman of the house was in love with him. He was our special boy - plagued by seizures but happy and content most of the time. Non-demanding, smart and sweet with a sense of humor. We miss you "D". Nib's also known as my Baby. Sweet and happy he had a fun sense of humor. Such a beautiful boy - he loved to lounge in his pool...after all - it was HIS POOL....I miss his happy dance at feeding time. known to us when she arrived at 13-1/2 years of age as Miss Ellen. She was affectionate and stoic. A true lady in every sense of the word. Her ears always erect....even in a deep sleep. Any trip through the kitchen required a payment by biscuit. Always wise and always beautiful....mommie's girl. One of my favorite memories
was seeing her walk right into the ocean at Dewey Beach - bound and determined...just so happy to be a part of our family....truly a gift. Forever Daddys boy Noisey...he was the best, just
absolutely perfect! No one could ask for anyone better - or is that best? Incredibly handsome - always dressed to impress in his tuxedo. He knew what a pizza box was, would sit so patiently - a small stream of drool just
waiting for his share of the crust. He was even seen dialing 1-800-deliver. His ears were so luxurious to pet. Best buddy to Action. My special boy Winn. Destined to meet me a short time after my loss of Action. An incredibly intuitive and special fellow, his mission was to love me completely. A wonderful spokesdog for the tall, dark and handsome male greys out there looking for love. Taken on my birthday...a gift of peace
to him - always giving to me the gift of love every day - I loved him so, and was so proud to be in his life. Dolly came to us late in life - she was already 13 years old - lived as a single...was nervous and afraid when she first arrived - and after seven days and her dental was flirting with the boys in our yard. We lost her after three short months - but we loved her as if she were here forever. It was a pleasure and honor to be part of her family. INKY WAS OUR FIRST GREYHOUND AND HE WAS AN ABSOLUTE PRINCE, TRUE GREYHOUND PERFECTION. HE WAS A DADDY'S BOY, BUT LOVED HIS MOMMY TOO! WHEN WE FIRST GOT HIM HE WOULD STEAL A STUFFED ANIMAL FROM OUR EXTRA BEDROOM. IT WAS JUST TO CUTE TO CORRECT. HE'S MISSED AND THOUGHT ABOUT EVERY DAY. WE LOVE YOU STINKY BUTT ( THE TRANSITION TO DOG FOOD WAS A LITTLE TOUGH FOR HIM). INKY WILL FOREVER BE OUR SWEETHEART WE SWEAR WHEN YOU KISSED HIM IT WAS AS SWEET AS CANDY. HUGS AND LOTS OF KISSES. DADDY AND MOMMY JENNIE BELLE WAS OUR SECOND GREYHOUND(ONCE AGAIN A DADDY'S GIRL). WE WENT TO OUR FIRST GREYHOUND SOCIAL AND CAME HOME WITH ONE MORE DOG THAN WE CAME WITH. JENNIE WAS A RETURN DOG WHO WAS MEANT TO FIND US. JENNIE BELLE WILL FOREVER REIGN AS QUEEN. SHE HAD A VERY PROMINENT PRESENCE ONE WHICH CAN STILL BE FELT TODAY AT OUR HOUSE. JENNIE HAD A LOOK SHE WOULD GIVE YOU IF SHE THOUGHT ONE OF THE OTHER DOGS WAS STUPID, I CAN STILL PICTURE IT TODAY. SHE WILL FOREVER BE OUR LITTLE LAMB. SHE IS MISSED AND LOVED VERY MUCH AND THOUGHT OF EVERYDAY. WE LOVE YOU LAMB, LOVE DADDY AND MOMMY HUGS AND KISSES ALWAYS!
